This is a great motel ! The room was nice and clean with a refrigerater ,microwave, and coffee . The man working up front was nice. He let It be known there is no smoking. He told me multiple times that it a no smoking place and I respect that. Looks like past reviews from people they were actually smoking probably . So far in my stay at the desert view motel I gotta say everything is good. And I do look around for bugs and stuff like that at any motel i been in . I did not see 1 bug or anything being dirty . Really a good place . Nice lil patio and just gotta say I was impressed and wish I would have came here in the past . Yea it's alittle dated but seems they keep it nice . It's a perfect location close to everything even if you are walking . Gotta say I like it here . Good job staff of desert view motel ! Thank you
I've stayed here many times while working in the area and passing through. The rooms have pretty much always been acceptably clean, the beds are comfortable, and the microwave, refrigerator, and shower are functional. Everything you need from a cheap motel. These aren't luxury accommodations, so don't expect that. The furniture is shabby and mismatched. If you're concerned about such things, stay elsewhere. If you want a nice little cheap room near the main highway and convenient to lots of good places, this place fits the bill. Cons are that it's kind of noisy, and the check-in process is very old-school. So you stand there for a long time while the very nice gentleman fills out all of your information by hand on multiple forms. That being said, I do appreciate the attention to security, especially as a solo female traveler. The parking lot is also well-lighted and covered by security cameras. If you have an egregiously large vehicle, you'll need to park nearby, as the lot is small. Bonus: It's very close to Aki Sushi, which is excellent!
A charming old fashioned motel. The bed is comfortable, and everything is exceptionally clean and in good repair, at a very reasonable price. Exactly what we needed whilst in town to purchase a trailer.
